The community of North Scottsdale, Arizona, is mourning the death of Braedon Peltier, who passed away unexpectedly on September 25, 2026, at the age of 31. His death came exactly one week after his grandfather passed away, leaving the family devastated by two profound losses within days of each other.
Braedon battled brain cancer at just five years old and later suffered strokes that left him disabled and partially paralyzed following brain surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. Despite being given a 15% chance of surviving his cancer diagnosis, he defied the odds for years. His father, Tim Peltier, remembered him as someone who continued smiling through hardship, never complained, and touched others with his warm smile and infectious laugh.
Through a TikTok page managed by his sister, Braedon reached more than 4.5 million followers at one point. His father said the response to his videos showed how many lives he had touched. Braedon enjoyed Pokémon, reading, rhyming, singing, movies, and videos. He also shared an inseparable bond with his grandfather, whom he called “Opa,” and was deeply loved by his two sisters and brother.
Tim expressed gratitude to Braedon’s mother for the devoted care she provided throughout his life, describing it as a round-the-clock responsibility. He also shared the family’s heartbreak at having to say their final goodbyes at the hospital. Finding comfort in the belief that Braedon and his grandfather are together again, Tim asked for prayers as the family faces an unimaginable loss and remembers a son who brought joy to so many.
Im so sorry for your loss I loved watching Braedon when I was sad his smile could light up a room he will be deeply missed RIP a legend.
