Colean Margaret Murphy, 18, of Hopewell Junction, passed away on October 1, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of Nicole Ginexi and John Murphy, and sister of Shaelyn Murphy.
Behind beautiful blue eyes, Colean felt everything deeply and loved with her whole heart. She loved the colors pink and teal, crafting, decorating for the holidays (especially fall), and dreaming about her future, including the A-frame house and blue pickup truck she always hoped to have. She danced, played soccer and basketball, loved cars and anything with a motor, and was amazing with children.
After graduating from Arlington High School in 2025, Colean attended Lincoln Tech to pursue her dream of becoming a welder. She loved Christian music and sang her heart out.
Colean is also survived by her grandparents, Brenda and Dan Fogarty; great-grandfather, Denis McLaughlin; boyfriend and true love, Logan Fitzgerald; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends who adored her. You know who you are and the memories you shared with her. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Joe and Joan Murphy, and great-grandmother, Margaret McLaughlin.
Visitation will be Friday, October 9, 2026, from 4 to 8 pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 10, at 9:30 am at St. Martin de Porres Church.
Colean was unapologetically herself. She will be loved always, and her life celebrated forever.
