Chris Lauzon was the kind of person whose presence could turn an ordinary gathering into a night worth remembering. With his stories, humor, music and unmistakable personality, he brought energy to the people around him. His family is now mourning his passing after Chris died peacefully in his sleep.
In a heartfelt tribute, his family described Chris as a loving son, an amazing brother and a devoted uncle to his seven nieces and nephews. He had a special way of showing affection, often sneaking candy to the children simply because he loved them.
Chris enjoyed life on his own terms. He loved golf, bowling and experimenting with recipes inspired by cooking shows. His family affectionately remembered him as the “head chef of the Lake House,” where he would often choose complicated recipes that took hours to prepare. Dinner might arrive late, they recalled, but it was always worth the wait.
He also cherished evenings around a fire, sharing stories about his travels following Dave Matthews around the country and embracing a free-spirited life. Give him a harmonica and some musicians, and Chris could turn a gathering into an impromptu celebration.
His family acknowledged how difficult it was to write a farewell they never expected to need. Funeral arrangements had not yet been announced at the time of their tribute.
Chris Lauzon leaves behind memories filled with laughter, music, food, family and friendship. For those who loved him, his unique spirit will remain unforgettable.
